I was really excited to create Sleeping Machines, a playful 3D animation for the 3788 Massive Screen in Chongqing, China—the largest outdoor L-shaped billboard in Asia. The piece features Trap, an inventor who accidentally falls asleep while working on his machines. He is caught napping, exposing his private workspace to the public. Startled and flustered, Trap scrambles to regain control, pulling curtains closed in an attempt to save face.
This animation playfully explores themes of work-life balance and the feeling of public exposure. Designed specifically for the glasses-free 3D format, Sleeping Machines is a lively, lighthearted piece that invites viewers to pause and connect with a slice of traps life.
